Profile
Professor Hassan Oaikhenan is an economic specialist with interest in international economics and financial economics. He has a doctorate, masters and bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics from University of Benin, Benin City. Hassan has actively participated in various local and international summits. He was a participant at the international workshop on Environmental Economics for Development Policy, Paris; a participant at workshop on New Techniques on Applied Economic Research at the Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi, New Delhi, India. He was also a participant at the training course on Econometric Modelling of Times Series Data at the Centre for Globalisation Research, Queen Mary University of London and at the EcoMod Modelling School, Washington D.C., USA, among several others. Hassan is an author with many published papers, and has also taught successive generations of students. Hassan has conducted research for UNDP, Shell and ECOWAS, as well as severed external assessor to several local and foreign universities. He is currently the Editor of African Journal of Microfinance and Enterprise Development, and the Nigerian Economic and Financial Review.
