Godwin Ehigiamusoe PhD is an experienced microfinance practitioner with a long track record in economic impact and policy research. He began his engagement in microfinance as a cooperative officer. Godwin is a microfinance consultant to the World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, NAPEP and Central Bank of Nigeria.
Godwin’s expertise is in assisting microfinance and development projects through the planning process of microfinance policy, regulatory and supervisory guidelines. He has a doctorate in Policy and Development Studies, a Master’s in Development Studies, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a diploma in Corporative Thrift and Credit Management.
He is part of our strategic team.
Godwin is a recipient of the 2008 Nigeria Model Entrepreneur Award, and the 2010 Schwab Foundation’s Outstanding Social Entrepreneur for Africa. He has authored several books that include Issues in Microfinance: Enhancing Financial Inclusion (2011); Poverty and Microfinance in Nigeria (2000); and Understanding NGOs (1998).
